In just a couple days we’ll be starting our trip HERE with our little group of e-bikers! 🚴‍♀️

Over the past year+, we’ve put so much time & love into planning this trip together with Marco, our local guide from @basecamp523 .

📍And I’m so proud to be bringing 7 people from the US to the Marche region — a rural area of Italy that’s totally off the beaten path for American travelers, and actually wants more visitors.

(Unlike Venice, for example, just about 200 miles north, but a world away in terms of tourism, and flooded with more visitors than it can reasonably, sustainably handle.)

The most sustainable food is the most local food you can get your hands. 🙌 Plus it’s the best for your health, and for the local economy!

And Vermont is one place where it’s really possible to eat local.

These are a few of the excellent farm stands we visited in western Vermont, but there are tons of them scattered all over the state! Any others you recommend?

August spilled out like a bottle of wine – wait

August spilled out like a bottle of wine – wait is that something we’re all saying now? Am I still (ironically or actually?) demure? What’s happening out there? Hello, internet, it’s me, Ketti.

I spent August hiding from cell service in the woods of Vermont, exploring more of New England, and generally taking it easy. What about you?

After pretty much taking the summer to let my heart recover, I have a lot to catch up on here – 🇨🇳China, 🇱🇹 Lithuania, local adventures, more plastic-free things, and (after next week!) our group trip in Italy! 🚴
