Thoughts & prayers for a future where today won’t be the busiest airport day of the year in the US. 🦃 🚆

The EuroStar train takes you from London to Paris in 2 hours + 15 minutes! And we’re talking city center to city center (no wasting half a day getting to out-of-the-way airports 2 hours early.)

It costs about $100 to $150 (less if you book several weeks in advance & are flexible on dates).

And it emits 75% less CO2 than flying from London to Paris. Read that again – SEVENTY FIVE PERCENT! If you’re traveling between the UK and Europe, flying often just isn’t necessary.

📍 This was the first train ride of my @byway.travel trip last week! I’ll be sharing more about it in the next few weeks / for the rest of my life because it was fantastic.

Have you ever hiked an active volcano? 🌋

This one was one of the highlights of our trip, and it was actually a lot easier than most other volcano hikes I’ve done. (3 - 4 hours to the top, and hiring a local is required, so you’re never on your own.)

The views were dramatic and varied everywhere we looked (more of those coming up soon — I had too much fun photographing interesting plants in the mist).
